The previous Just War Theory conference hosted by Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University was held in 2015.

The conference marked the 600th anniversary of Polish medieval scholar Paul Vladimiri’s writings on just war (in 1414-18 he represented the Polish monarch at the Council of Constance in his dispute with the State of the Teutonic Order over their military attacks on the region of Samogitia – northwestern part of today’s Lithuania – whose inhabitants were the last ethnic group in Europe to resist conversion to Christianity). The key-note address at the conference was delivered by Professor Michael Walzer.
